Reverting back to Standard Time will take a little adjustment. For the last several months, I've been heading into work while it was still dark. With the reversion from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time, this will all remain the same. Over the past several months, I did manage to leave work before it became completely night-like. That appears to no longer be the case. The coming home in the dark will take a little adjustment.
I did manage to get in some credible pedestrian activity following my vision quest adventures of yesterday.

Folger Shakespeare Theater |
The last couple of days there have been some interesting lighting colors on the facade of the Folger Shakespeare Theater. Last Friday, I assumed this was probably meant to be decoration in preparation for Halloween. Now that All Saints Day has passed, and the lighting remains, I'm not really too sure what's going on here. I'll watch it to see if I can figure it out. Add a couple of green lights, and I'd say you'd be about ready for Mardi Gras, but it's a bit early.

Anacostia Sunset...with an interesting cut line |
I did make it out for my evening walk just before sunset. It was 4:40 pm. Google Photos normally does a bang-up job of stitching together these panoramas, but this one exhibits an interesting cut line that I've never seen before. I really don't like this rendering at all, but it is interesting. I've also committed to showing every panorama that Google delivers to me on this blog, so here you go.

Anacostia Sunset...a much better photo |
Once again, I'm able to share with you a scene that's becoming familiar. The stillness of the river is the aspect of this scene that really grabbed my attention this evening. It was dead calm, and if gravity had not been helping the matter, it might have been difficult to tell the top from the bottom in this photo. If I cropped it correctly, I might even be able to turn it upside down and pass it off to the uninitiated.
